I need to enter the security radio code for my radio which keeps saying code. What I don't know how to do is the process of entering the code. JUst says code on the radio. I have the code how does it go in. I need the steps to do this. Radio series is AJ8700. I understand I use the preset buttons to enter the numbers. NOthing happens when I hit the preset buttons. How do I get to where I can actually enter a code?

 

Did you get it? I just reset my 89 xjs after waiting for an hour with the radio and ignition on, per the instructions. The instructions say after waiting an hour begin to punch in the code, if you hear a beep while doing so, at that point, start the code over. If you hear another beep, start the code over again until no beeps. At that point the radio should come on.
