What XJS Related Photo did you take today
Since there suddenly seems to be a lot of XJS related Photos showing up, it seemed a good idea to Start A Thread.
Where even 'The Good The Bad Or The Ugly' will give you a chance to Show off your Skills or lack of and whichever they are I'm sure we'll find them very interesting. The Photos Don't Literally Have To Be Taken Today and they can be anything XJS Related, from Cars to Spare Parts and Engines to Road Trips and Videos. Over to you................... Night Shot of my XJS 'Cherry Blossom' https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...b58cfea791.jpg Night Shot of my XJS 'Cherry Blossom' https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...d9875f3adb.jpg After a 16 year layup, She's almost ready to Roar! |
Not taken today, I took this photo a couple of months ago.

That's a lovely Photo Warrjon, in a beautiful setting.
Did you get to choose your own Number Plate? |
Yes it is a nice place, it will be a while until our olive grove in the front yard is established.
No I just took whatever number plate was next, all I chose was the slim line plate. |
Taken today: my kitty is getting a drink after getting a new alternator to get her juices going

She looks absolutely Gorgeous!
If you were filling up with Gas, then no doubt you were there for a while! (Lol) |
Hi Warrjon
Wow is that your Garden. Lucky You! |
OOOPS, I re-wrote some of it and didn't read it carefully.
No it belongs to a friend. Our place on 2 acres is new and we are still establishing the grounds. Bt everything planted is edible. |
That second shot in your garage is lovely, OB. Looks almost like how Top Gear might stage an introduction.
|
Hi Someday
Cheers! I thought it sort of looked a bit Atmospheric, I really didn't plan it that way it just happened so I guess I sort of 'fluked it' But a goal is a goal so they say! |
That's how some of the best photos are taken....
|
Since videos are okay too, here's a sort of proof of concept video I took (okay, not today, today is rather wet). Using a Gorillapod to hold my video camera to various things out in the countryside, and hand-held out the window in town - only when there are no other cars around, as it's rather embarrassing.

Hmm, if it is you, you look like Hoovie from Hoovie's Garage :D

Hi Someday
Cracking Video and Travelogue! I thought the roads in Japan would be 'choc a block' with Cars but they look deserted. |
Hi Daim
Who is Hoovie? Never heard of him, I must get out more! |

It was very warm and sunny over the weekend despite the forecast of rain and cool temperatures. We took the XJS out to visit several of the local breweries instead of spring cleaning. I have the top torn off right now, so there wasn't an option if it did rain.

Just drive faster.
Hmmmm spring cleaning or a road trip in the XJS.... a no-brainer........ |

The Rubber Mat is only there to protect the Car Mat that protects another Car Mat, that protects the Original Jaguar Car Mat........
|
At that rate there'll be no room for your feet....
|
My XJ doesn't have any mats other than the carpet. My XJ-S has the original carpets (though they need replacing at the front) with originalrubber trays on top. The trays will be ditched though, as I don't intend on using the car in mucky conditions.
Btw. the only picture I took today was of my other Jag, as it has been crashed into... Even though it didn't even have a tranny in it to move! Front of the car is badly damaged. Probably written off... Yay! :( |
|
You sure had fun with the colours there....

How do the vents work?
|
nice they release hot air
|
I've seen similar ones on other threads from time to time. It's an interesting concept. What's the structure? Where does the water drain? How much cooler does your car run with them?
|
I also wonder where the water drains. I found vents that I would like to use from a Lumina Z34 but I doubt there is room for the pans that go below the vents.

-Prepping to remove rust for a respray. So far, only one of the tabs is too rusty to salvage. |
Would be this picture, as my XJ-S is visible :D
https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4187/3...aa793b36_b.jpg Yes, it shows a VW but it is my current loaner until my XJ is sorted and appropriately the number plate is XJ as well (like mine :D) |
fuel regulators

the look of the fuel pressure regulator were letting the side down a bit so I thought I would give them a new look with new decals the one in the picture is only a draft for the artwork and held down with spit, the new ones will be modern vinyl. when they arrive,
so I took a picture after. |
