XJ-S Lemans 03-13-2018 01:24 AM

Hi xjs1988

Thank you for posting your XJ-S.
Spring is coming on. It is best season for enjoy cruising with XJ-S.

That was the 200th post in this thread, Lemans. Congratulations!

I took this today at the university carpark with my tablet, so it's not the best quality. I just liked how the colours sort of matched, and I didn't have my real camera with me.

My god, a tablet/smartphone camera really is terrible compared to a DSLR.... Anyway, I liked the way the dark blue of the gloaming matched the dark blue of the car, with the last red of the sunset reflecting along the body.

Hi Someday

Wow. Great gradation of red to blue...
Did you take this photo by a smartphone camera? I think this picture is really beautiful as same as taking by a DSLR.

Some Day, Some Day 03-14-2018 11:55 PM

Thanks, Lemans.
On a small image like this, it's not too bad. But even so you can see lots of noise in the sky at the top right, the thin branches are a blur, the A pillar looks soft, etc. In full size on my monitor it was really bad.
But yes, I really liked how the colours graduated, which is why I took this even though I only had my tablet (don't have a smartphone - only an old gara-kei. Bought the tablet as a cheaper navi system).

I'm incapable of being really selective with photos, sorry, so here's three....
Today was a lovely warm spring day. I visited friends about an hour's drive away, and on the way home, I decided to check out the famous Chirihama Nagisa Driveway. This is the only beach in Japan where ordinary road cars can drive, thanks to its uniquely fine, compact sand. Rain for several days previously had compacted the sand even more, so none was flying around at all. It was a chance to get some unique shots....

And if anyone's interested, I uploaded a dashcam video on YouTube. (The YT link keeps showing up as a full-sized video thing.)

Hi Someday

Amazing! but what happens when the Tide come in?

Some Day, Some Day 04-13-2018 08:00 AM

Drive faster!

I don't think the tide comes in much more than this. But they will close it if the weather's stormy or there's big waves and stuff.

A photographer took these Friday. I love the first, where the girl is actually just enjoying the heat from my engine...

Today I took Lady Mary down via Kyoto and Nara to Kobe, 350 kilometres of high-speed touring. In Kyoto we visited the Gekkeikan Sake Brewery Museum, which you can see behind the car. Visitors get free sake to take home. No, I did not drink and drive.... https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...6dafd7d24c.jpg
Not the best quality pic....

JigJag 05-20-2018 09:13 AM

I was out testing things yesterday and passed through this bamboo hedge. Had to stop.

BY. By the bamboo hedge, I really hope you mean, for your car's sake.

And the hedge's sake.... (^_^)

Should I be worried about this?

Inspection of my new 90 XJS Convert revealed this...cracked hubs. I saw the bent strut and thought it may have been the cause; but the other side is cracked as well...not as much, but still it's a crack!

Went for a drive in the country, had ppl walk over and gawk when parked.

Steve M 05-21-2018 01:20 AM

I'm not surprised, that's a terrible piece of parking :)
