So, my local pull-a-part has an '89 XJS. It just fell off the blocks it was sitting on and I have a feeling it's going to the crusher soon, so I figured it's time to share my gold mine if anyone else needs parts. The yard it's in is dirt cheap for everything. If any of you need anything let me know, I'll see if it's available and we can figure out shipping or whatever. Here's some pics of the car. The engine has not been exposed to weather long (I took the hood myself) and I covered it with another hood before I left today. Everything under the hood seems to be complete, A fair amount of the interior is left as well.

Thanks for sharing, I need a gear shift lever and the plastic end caps on the wiper arms.

Now, since you said "dirt cheap", lets see how much junk I can accumulate:
Could use the speedo to see if I can swap out my kmph to mph dial face

Could use the whole intake manifold upwards - that means injectors, fuel rail, air valves, air filter cases, fuel pressure regulators, etc including the manifolds themselves. It would make it a viable proposition for me to have a slick polished and plated engine (like Diam), without downtime

So sorry for the slow reply. I'm in the Corvette studio at my school and it's getting crazy. Haven't slept in 2 days. I'm not gonna have time to go to the scrapyard until at least next week. The GM designers responsible for the new Corvette and Camaro are coming in to review our sketches and research this Friday. Will get back to you all as soon as I possibly can.

 

If I can get my car going I'll shoot down there next weekend (probably Sunday). I'll post again and let you all know. If I can I'll call them Friday or Saturday to see if the car is still there and what they charge for everything you guys are looking for.
