So I'm thinking of doing some of my XKR parts to carbon fiber. I did hydro dip some of my rover parts and it turned out well but then I have an opportunity to do these Jag parts in real carbon fiber overlay. Of course hydro dip is not real carbon fiber but looks like it. Hmm...which should I do?

Rear lip spoiler hydro dipped in carbon fiber pattern:

 

From the picture the rear lip spoiler looks pretty good. How does the hydro dip hold up?

 

Hydro Dip should hold up as well as paint due to the fact they spray a clear coat over the dip.

What's making me think of doing the real carbon fiber overlay instead is it's not that much more expensive than hydro dip.
