Default `squeeky belt

Usual squeeky belt problem but ive tracked down the squeeky belt to the left hand side (thats if you are sat in the car) the one with the tensioner. If i spray on WD40 it stops for a few hours then the next morning its back. If i blip the power its there and holding the revs at about 3000rpm its there all the time,The belt looks fine. Any ideas. I have also noticed the side lights on the right headlight are not working (thats the orange on clear ones). Ive checked the bulbs and ive checked the fuses but in the manual it only says active RH or active LH no mention of side lights. Both fuses are fine. Can anybody help.

There was a tech bulletin for this problem which replaces the belt and pulley etc.
Your dealer should know all about it.

I had this fix done on mine as soon as I got it (still under warranty) because it would squeal like a pig when it was started until it warmed up. Very embarrassing when the neighbours were around too.

I wouldn't advise squirting WD40 on the belts either as it contains petroleum products which could harm the rubber.

I sprayed WD40 on my belt too , it stopped squeaking but I would not recommend doing it all the time either
