I used Autohausaz for my cabin filter - Genuine Mehle brand, good quality and about $30. No stink from diesel trucks penetrates the cabin so they work well. In my opinion, there are counterfeit auto products for sale on Amazon. Certainly not all parts are but I bought spark plugs from a company on there and they were not NGK product, looked like them and packaged and marked similar to them. Can you imagine if the platinum tip fell off what kind of damage could be caused. The company gave me a full refund and did not want the product returned. I trashed them.
I certainly am not saying the link has bad products but it is something that everyone should be aware of especially for more critical engine and suspension parts. |
Buying products that are "drop-shipped" from Chinese resellers yeah that can happen, I can only imagine the liability to Amazon if they were to sell fraudulent items that they warehouse themselves so that's not a realistic worry. Always check where and who is selling the items there no different than buying from eBay - pretty simple and basic

The parts I bought were shipped from USA and arrived at my door in two days. They were not shipped by Amazon though. The company is an auto parts retailer.

These Jaguars are nothing special when it comes to basic parts like oil filters, cabin filters, etc. Keep in mind the Jaguar brand commands more money for parts, but you will find Amazon aftermarket parts like these are very well priced. Enter your make and year into the Amazon garage and Amazon will tell you if the part is a perfect fit for your specific brand, model and year. So easy. .. |

Thanks all; ordered a couple cabin filters today from Amazon.
Is everyone going with OEM for air filters??? |
Engine Air Filters
With a new, matched pair of OEM engine air filters you won't get a CEL. Some X150 owners have reported CEL issues with aftermarket engine air filters. Thinking about K&N? See: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ilters-119498/

Thanks to all for the great input. I sucessfully changed the cabin filter once I knew where it was and I learned that I too needed more the the plastic fasteners. Appreciate the team guidance on what and where to get them.
Now to change the air filters..Can it be done without taking the wheels off? Think I'm gonna try it that way 1st. Any advice? (2010 XK) Regards |
No need to remove the wheels, turn them hard either one way or another and pull the plastic inner fender away enough to get to the box. I think five???? screws need to be removed from the inner fender to have enough room, depending on my memory.
