I have been contacted by someone with a set of Vortex wheels from and XK-RS
for sale.

They are very slightly wider than the wheels on mine I think by half an inch front and rear. Will they fit ok?

You don't offer any details of your car, nor signature?
This being stated, the only definitive answer is mount one front and rear, check the backspacing and wheel to body lines with the car on loaded suspension.

You're in GB and I think that the Vortex wheels you described may be from a 4.2L 2008 XK-RS, which was a special edition not available in the USA. If so, the rears won't fit your 5.0L 2014 XKR. The electronically controlled limited slip differential was introduced with the 5.0L models, and that caused the rear wheel offset to change from the 4.2L models. I believe that the front offsets are the same.

Vortex wheels were introduced in the USA beginning with the 5.0L models and have the correct offsets to fit your 2014 XKR. The design is identical to the Vortex wheels on the UK-only 4.2L XK-RS except for the paint color. I think, but am not certain, that the 2008 4.2L Vortex wheels were forged and that the 5.0L wheels are cast alloy.
