Default A/C weirdness..

Hi Guys. Have something unusual going on at the moment with my A/C.
When I have the A/C coming out of the 2 centre vents on the dash. Only the passenger side is cold. Drivers side centre vent is warm.
I have both temps set to lo.
Any ideas????? Cheers.

Turn car off and let sit for a few minutes and then try again after restarting.

muncher, I don't have the solution for you, but I have read about this exact issue for other people right here on this forum. Try doing a search and I'm sure you will come across it!

Yes tried the restart, still no luck unfortunately.
I also remember reading someone on here had a similar issue. If that's you I would be grateful if you could tell me how you solved your A/C weirdness. Cheers.

One regular cause of this is the refrigerant charge being low.

The circulation starts at one side and when the heat is absorbed it then cannot cool the other side.

Thanks Graham. Sounds like a possibility. The A/C gas was low about 3mths ago. I had very little cold air coming out of any vent. I had it re filled. No leak at the time could be found however there must have been one. I asked the A/C guy to check the psi today. He said that unless the psi is really low like before, he wouldn't be able to tell. The system tries to keep a constant psi until the gas is excessively low then it can no longer achieve that.
I rang my local dealer. They said the valve that controls the dual zone for the drivers side could be faulty or blocked. It may be possible to flush the coolant system through a pipe going through the firewall to clear any possible blockage. If that fails they say the dash will need to be removed to get to the valve and pipe work there. Approx 14hr job OUCH.
My way of thinking is to run it a while longer. If there is a blockage it may clear. If that doesn't work I may get a second opinion from another A/C guy. I noticed when the A/C was being re gassed he could only find the one valve. He said there is another one that he needs to use to fill up the system. He couldn't find it so used plan B.
