The calipers on my 2009 XKR Portfolio with optional Alcon brakes are red with silver raised "R" logo. Looks great with the Shadow Grey paint and red Jaguar logo center caps. All OEM.

I have a red 2010 XKR, so you see my dilemma in choosing the right color for my calipers...
Ideas are welcomed, as I'm "style-impaired"

Jagtoes,

Would you mind adding a pic of your red car with red calipers? I have the claret, not fire engine red (I think that is what you have), and have been thinking of matching the calipers to claret..

BTW, what does the toes part of Jagtoes represent?

With all the pictures I have I don't have a real clear one of the wheel and car. I'll post what I have and you see the car color IRR. As for the ID it came from during my work commuting days I bought a X-Type. When I retired I wanted a smooth comfortable car for vacation trips so we bought a Lexus ES350. So I went from a Jag to an ES and putting it together it is jagtoes.

wrair,
My liquid silver X150 coupe has red calipers, but my Carnival Red X100 also has red calipers that I had painted. I've attached pics of both so you can see. The red of the calipers is not as "wine" colored as the body.

I'm debating the same thing and I am leaning towards black or red powder coated. I have been quoted a price of $1200 for all four calipers has anybody else gotten pricing?

If you don't have the fancy calipers, spend the time sanding the calipers so no casting marks remain before painting.

Yup, tberg!
I definitely like the red (I'd match my claret as close as possible) calipers/wheel centers caps/car.
Thanks for the pics, which really help to firm up my view.

Holy thread resurrection!

Too funny as I now have a Claret Red (on black) XKR!
Be sure to post images after your paint them. Going Claret could be an interesting option on the calipers, I would not have thought of... Too bad the real Claret is a three step paint. No truly easy way to match, but it would be interesting to see how close you can get...

My local paint shop mixed up a rattle can version that I have not used yet. Doubt it would handle heat...

V

BTW: My center caps are already red, and look fine (no chrome wheels though). Are yours not?
