2009 XKR convertible, the lid on my centre console will not lift but will still slide. The handle feels like it is not releasing the latches. Anyone know how to release these latches so I can lift the lid and determine the issue ?

 

Sometimes, I have to pull up really hard and wiggle for it to release! Don't know any other way, sorry.

I had the same issue. Now I lay my forearm flat on the console, and lift the latch while at the same time pushing back (with the same hand) on the console 'lid' and it has worked fine ever since. Having said that, if I just lift up on the latch, 7 times out of 10 it will not open. WTF
