While driving back from the vintage car show at Lime Rock Park I noticed that there is a slot just above the speedo cluster above the info screen. Does this serve any purpose or is it just the way the bezel is designed for the 2 gauges. Also while I'm at it I wonder why Jaguar used 2.5 rpm on each tick mark in the tach. Just wondering and by the way I spelled slot correctly.

 

That's the air slot to let you know how fast you're going. When your ears and lips start to flutter you know you're moving...

 

Isn't that the Condom Slot? That's what I use it for. Always need one handy, am I right?

 

I thought I read that it holds the ticket you might get from a toll road.
Never used it: I'm an ezpass person now.
