I have used a few of them with very good high quality results for a paint coating. Cost is about $50.00 to $75.00 for a 4 oz. bottle. many can be bought here is the USA at autogeek.net. Durability is stated to be up to 3 years on the paint coating. |

Will the paint retain a "just waxed" feel to it after 4 months?
Today, I just wash the car for the first time same it get the treatment. It's amazing to see the water get OFF the car as I wash it. It wasn't really dearty, but I had some little dust on the back. Really easy to wash. BUT, brake dusdt still there!!! I will keep you post next week on that issue. Maybe there is no way to get rid of the brake dust!!! Guy |

I have recently used 2 premium products for Paint Coatings. I used Opticoat 2.0 and used Pinnacle Black Label Paint Coating. One each on different cars, my Porsche and Jaguar XKR. Each is about $79.99, but I prefer the Pinnacle because of the applicator and size. The Pinnacle is a 4 oz bottle and you simply apply with a block type sponge applicator. Both provide a 3 year paint coating. If you want to apply a premium wax to the surface you may do so. That is what I did. The new Paint Coating products are awesome. I suggest that you use a clay bar first to remove any contaminents. A clay bar kit like Meguiars or Mothers cost about $20.00. As far as a wax that has great technology, I highly recommend the Meguairs NXT Generation 2.0 Wax, in liquid (about $20.00) or which is about $22.00 for a 11 oz. Paste Wax can and applicator. I have provided links for the products I have used below. Optimum Opti-Coat 2.0 Permanent Paint Coating Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Paint Coating Detailer’s Coating Prep Polish, best car polish Meguiars NXT Generation Tech Wax is unlike any other car wax! Tech Wax, a synthetic, scientifically engineered paint sealant, is an alternative to I have used these products and the results are awesome. When it comes to car detailing there are so many products the end user can get very confused, and many vendors and brands say their product is the best. It a process of elimination and what you might like the best. Earlier this year I spent $195.00 for a 5 oz can of wax that proved no better than the Meguairs NXT Generation 2.0 product. Detailing your own car can be a fun and rewarding DIY project for under $125 to $140.00. You will have plenty of product left over and the results will be awesome. Just put aside about 4 hours for a complete project. Your car will look better than new. Try it. It is easy. |

I've been driving in the rain last week :-(
At home, I just realise how my XKRS stay clean even after driving it on our dirty road... Take a look at the pictures. I've just pour some water on the car and on the wheels and it got back clean instantly. No more dust inside the rim. I never had a car staying so clean...even on the back where dust always stick. Guy While the products themselves can be costly even for a DIY job, they are worth the cost involved. Using new technology like paint coatings, paint sealents, quality waxes and polishes can make a real difference in keeping a car clean. In most cases the quality detail repels the dirt and dust that is so common when driving a car. So nice to hear that you are pleased with the quality of the work completed and you will find that keeping your car clean is so much easier. Looks great, and the wheels too. |
