Hand Brake error (battery)
I had issues with my battery. thanks for the help on the previous thread!
I can use the jump starter and get the car to start. The engine is running like a dream. I ran it for 5 mins on the jump starter and then for 45 mins idling engine. I try to take it out of park and it is coming up with hand brake error and I cannot take it out of park. I switched off the engine and it is as dead as a dodo again. Do you think replacing the battery will sort out the hand brake issues? I see on other threads that the battery can kick out a whole bunch of errors such as the hand brake error.

Your battery was weakened because it was fully discharged. Even if you can charge it enough to start your car, continuing to use it will only give you more electrical problems. Read this old thread:

You need a new battery. Make sure that your new battery is fully charged before you install it because many new batteries sit on retailers' shelves for months and slowly discharge.
If you don't drive enough to keep your new battery fully charged, you should buy a quality battery maintainer (not a trickle charger). Read this:
