Leather Dash Repair in Tennessee? - XKR
Hello all,
I know that thread has been discussed ad nauseum, but I need some assistance. I have a 2010 XKR where the leather is starting to come unglued and getting air pockets. Doesn't look too bad, but I know it's there and bothering me. I was told to go to Don's Upholstery in Memphis and they could fix it, but I called and they want NO part of fixing it and refers everyone back to Jaguar for a $3k fix. Does anyone know of a shop in Tennessee where they do these repairs (stretching, regluing and tacking) the dash? Thank you in advance.

If it's not too bad, yet, just pay a mechanic to remove the dash and run it over to any upholsterer or auto upholstery shop, and they'll be able to do the repair in a matter of a couple of hours. Just make sure they staple the restretched leather to the front lip and completely around the center dash speaker and have them use a high temperature resistant adhesive for the rest. My repair is now seven years old and looks like the first day. Took my furniture upholsterer less than 2 hours to repair.
I used Stephens Bros in Goodlettsville - had a bubble on the dash and several inches of the leather at the front edge come loose - got it fixed
They had to add a trim piece around the front edge
Had to remove windshield to do it Total cost almost $700
