New wheels for XK 2007
Hello jaguar owners! I own a very nice 2007 XK coupe british racing green! I have the standard 18" venus wheels on with winter tyres but I'd like to buy new wheels for summer tires and my dealer in finland is very very bad! They don't know which wheels are fit for the 2007 model. I ordered the caravela wheels and they didn't fit for the car and they showed the rims that they (think!?) Would fit. I didn't like them so much as there was only two where to choose. It would make my day if someone could tell here all the factory options for this car! And what kind of wheels you have on in your non face lifted model?
Best regards. |

Selena wheels
I like the selena wheels and there seems to be 3 different finishes. Do you guys have selena wheels?
pictures would be nice! :) |
Helpful graphic of X150 wheel offerings.

Thank you, you have been so helpful!

Is there a place you would recommend ordering from? I live in Finland and my dealer is terrible, so I'd like to order them myself.

Many independent companies sell used/refurbished and replica wheels on the internet, including Ebay and their own websites. Buyer Beware! Do your due diligence before buying from any of these sellers. You should also check with Forum sponsors that sell wheels. They may be able to get what you want. |
Ok! Thank you! Yes I'm planning to get brand new wheels. Your wheels are the shadow finish ones?

20" Vortex are the best looking XK wheel design. Not a fan of 20" in general, but that styling is perfect looking to my eyes.

Search the internet for the CP# of the wheels you are looking for. Tons of options and it may be cheaper to ship from the US or Oz versus pay the Euro premium.
thanks!! |

Here are some I found, though as I decided to go with a single wheel set and just swap the tires on them, in the end I haven't got any experience with these. eBay (UK): Elite Wheels and Tyre Ltd crouchy999 One thing to look out for, btw, is that some are selling wheel sets from an XF (which are more common than XKs) and advertising them for "XF or XK". However, the XF wheels are all the same width as the XK fronts, while the XK rears are wider. At least the Selena (misspelled as Selina) sets by crouchy999 appear to be XF sets. This shop also has some refurbished Jag wheels, though the Selena sets seem to be non-staggered. Their url is a bit weird, though, since it's just an IP address... |
I've tried to search for these selena wheels with the product numbers for the pre-facelifted model and every web site says that they are for 2008- models, so I'm unsure where I should try to buy them, and many jaguar part sites doesn't have these wheels or if they have the information is nonexistent. I don't want to buy second hand.

My car is running Toba's from an '14 XJ and they look like a smoother version of the original Jupiter's. 10" out back, 9" up front and I'm running a 20mm spacer out back.

https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...a37c846e0.jpeg The Vortex design was never available for 4.2L North American models. The Vortex design in a silver painted finish was introduced with the limited production UK market 4.2L 2008 XKR-S. They are very rare. The Vortex design pictured above in a machined face with gloss black painted inner surfaces was reintroduced with the 5.0L models. Note that the introduction of the E-diff with the 5.0L required the rear wheel offset to be changed, so they won't fit the 4.2L models (unless a spacer is used, which is not recommended). |
I used SB Wheels when I bought some wheels for my X350. They still seem to be operating:

Tough to tell for sure, but I think they're stock without spacers.

What Stuart said...
|
I think my wheels without spacers sat in further than those and look at Sean W new wheels without spacers. I guess it's possible those wheels could be a different offset than our Tamana's.

Dunno, looks kind of sunk in to me. Course different tires and different wheels can make a difference.
DANG this new format..... I can't upload ANYTHING. I'll try again, for the seventh time... https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...dbf0281e1c.jpg |
Got to agree with Stuart and Cee Jay, looks stock to me.

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...200599/page13/ I'll take a look at my options because I'm wondering if 15mm will be enough. I'll run a straight edge up the tire to the fender and measure. Maybe some pics too. The Carelia's have a +49 back space. The Tamana's have +49 in front, +51 in rear. |

The Tamana's have +49 in front, +51 in rear. I think the color of my Tamana's exacerbates the look even more. It didn't jump out at all with the Carelia's. 15mm is not enough. You are running a 25mm "deficit" in offset with the new wheels. In other words you would need 25mm spacers just to get the new wheels out as far as the originals you had(26 off set vs 51). I apologize, for some reason I thought you had a 2010-up or I would have questioned you further when you bought the wheels from me, sorry! I don't want you to be dissatisfied with the wheels, so let me know if you want to work something out. All the best, Dave |

I forgot to add Wheel shamed no (because they do look great on your XK), but "Offset Shamed" definitely applies... LOL
Anyone understand the dynamics there? |
@ Sean, if you don't want to go with wheel spacers, send me a PM, maybe we can work something out. I think they'd look just right on my Polaris White vert!

Yep just kidding around Dave. Well I was wrong. The rear are +31, not +49. I was looking at the part number of which there are many. Should have pulled the wheel to check. So yes, I need a 20mm spacer to get me back to where I was on the Carelia's in the rear. No change to the front. never spaced just the rear or front alone so I don't know the impact, if any on the ride, stability, wear etc...
Anyone understand the dynamics there? The dynamics in your case are simple to get back to where you were, leave the fronts alone since 49=49 and add a 20mm spacer to the rear, 31+20=51. Once this is done, there will be Zero impact to the ride, stability, wear etc because you have put it back the Stock Offsets. Now if you want to push it out further, I would do a 15mm front and a 35mm rear. This will get you to the look of everyone using 15s on there stock offset wheels. Hope that helps(and makes sense), Dave |
Thanks Dave. I was initially thinking understeer but came to the same conclusion after thinking it through a bit. I'll probably just add the 20's to get it back to the stock look. I've been satisfied with it. I can always change. Thanks again for the reply.
