Well? How often do you use manual mode when you drive your XK/XKR?

 

I use manual mode most times I drive but only when other people are around

I am still in the honeymoon phase at the moment and as it is summer here and people have their car windows open I treat them to the blip on downshift as I slow down at traffic lights as well as holding 1st and 2nd gears for a bit longer on acceleration.

I don't think I would use them under normal driving as the power is so instant and the adaptive feature of sports mode is very good.

 

I put 75%+, but I admit that today I drove to work in D the whole time, because it was 20 degrees out and my summer tires were like rocks!

I think in the future, I will use them whenever I'm not either cruising on the highway or preoccupied with making a phone call, finding something to listen to on the radio, or making tight maneuvers in city traffic. (It can be annoying to try to find the upshift paddle when the steering wheel is upside down!)

 

I am happy to report. the honeymoon phase never ends with this car. I still get excited when i look out my window at my office and see her. yup, that is mine! then driving it, I love hearing.... "it sounds as good as it looks" ... I have mastered the petal to get just the right amount of tone out of my cat.
