Query - Can the J Gate be replaced?

Default Query - Can the J Gate be replaced?
Can the J Gate in 2007, 08, and 09 XKR's be replaced with the round gear selector in 2010 and later models?

Is the J Gate mechanically linked to the tranny?

Default Answered my own quesion...
It can be done but would require swapping out the tranny - not really cost effective. This is according to Dan at Nalley Jaguar.

Ironically I've found that the J gate is more "reliable' than the new round JaguarDrive. My friend had an '09 XF that would occasionally spin out of control.
