I recently discovered a wet area on the passenger-side carpet in my '08 XK. I learned through the forum that it is caused by a plugged up drain line for the air conditioning system (apparently a frequent problem). Water backed up in the overflow line and will collect in the fan-motor housing. As I found out, the water got deep enough to reach the fan motor and caused it to fail. Expensive to replace the motor and to correct the drain problem. Search the forums to get more info.
