I am looking for help with headlamps for the XK X150 2013/2014
I live in Poland and I bought a car with a slightly damaged front in the USA.
Unfortunately, the lamps that were dismantled for the insurance company damage assessment did not come with the car. I have to buy new ones - I must admit that used ones, because new ones for over $ 3,000 each are too much for me and here is the problem of what to buy.
In the photos from before the accident, the car had lamps without AFS
Electric harnesses that go to the lamps have 16 cables / plugs with 16 pins - they all look active. When I was browsing the offers on advertising portals, the lamps often have 13 pins and less, the least was probably even 9.
How many minimum must these pins be for everything to be ok in our European conditions?
I do not care about lighting, but because the choice in used lamps is not too great, and even more often there are those with AFS, I consider buying them even if the lighting would not work. The question is, if I bought one with 16 pins, will AFS work? But is it not? Or maybe the lamp will not light up at all? Will it be necessary to change something in the driver or replace it? Or maybe it is so that the wiring harness always goes with 16 cables and depending on what lamps the customer chooses at the stage of configuring the car when buying, the factory is inserted with or without AFS? And nothing needs to be configured? Another question regarding the check after purchase - do I plug in the plug, turn on the lights and the lamp is on or does it need some assignment?
Greetings

I can't answer your specific question but you can run the VIN and it will tell you what kind of lighting the car was built with. You can send an IM to @GGG and he may run it for you. He has for many of us. I think may be a better starting point?

I've replied to your PM decoding the VIN and explaining the difference between a VIN decode and a Build Sheet.
