Xenon Halogen W5W andP215W Bulbs
I despise LED lighting
One front side light (W5W) has burned out and needs to be replaced in my 08 X150. I'm not sure if the bulb is incandescent or something else. I'd like replace it with white light halogen but most bulbs being offered are LED. eBay is vague as to whether their xenon-type bulbs are fully compatible and they keep pushing LED.
I also have to replace a P215w backup light bulb and I'm experiencing the same issues.
Can these bulbs be safely replaced with xenon?

The original w5w bulbs provided with your car were not LEDs.
As for the rears, they are "a combined, twin filament 21W/5W bayonet fitting bulb" ie, not LED.
There are varying qualities of bulbs. I'd stick to bosch, philips or other high quality oem filament bulb, myself.

DO NOT buy Phillips bulbs or you'll have to buy again very soon.
I would be more careful with vendor/supplier. I encountered a couple counterfeit Phillips xenons from Amazon for an old 330, they had strange color temps, intermittently turning off, dash warnings. After buying at Autozone, albeit for more $, no further issues.
