So I found this photo of my grandfather and I in his old Jag. I recall riding in the red car as a kid in the Phila area. Is there anyway to identify the model from these photos. They are the only two that exist.

I may actually try to track the car down if a couple phone calls pan out.

thanks for any insights. By the way, I am a Porsche guy

Since it doesn't have a rap around rear bumper I would say it is an XK120 roadster. My first thought was xk120 or xk140 roadster. Then I look for the rear bumper and since I didn't see one I concluded it was an XK120 roadster

I'd go for early XK120 from the broad chrome divider on the split windscreen. I think this was slimmer on later 120's.

Thanks for your input. Any other comments or thoughts are welcome.

This could be the beginning of an extensive research project. I would love to buy the car back so my mom(89) could ride in it.

I actually have registrations of his old Indian motorcycles and some fords from the 30’s and the name of the guy he sold it to.

Lets see where this goes.

Definitely an XK120 Roadster. If you want to investigate further you're going to need some numbers to identify it. If your grandfather was the first owner, the Jaguar Heritage Trust may be able to help using his name.
