Default 2003 xk8 Convertible no sound from radio

HELP! I am on my 3rd amplifier including the original one, 2nd head unit including the original one, the head units (both) act fine, I thought I had bought a bad amplifier, so I bought another, still nothing ! A guy at the radio shop suggested the body control module, but EVERYTHING else works fine!! Alpine system, I've checked all the fuses I think. The fan on the amplifiers don't ever turn on though.

Probably a silly question but, is the switch on the head unit set to premium?

Eric -- did you ever get an answer to your question? I have the same problem with my premium sound system. I'm on my second amplifier and no change. Where can I look to solve this problem?

lost touch with this thread sorry Eric.
The switch is on bottom of head unit which needs to be removed from dash to gain access.
