98 5 speed J gate swap
 

I’ve purchased an aluminum J gate shifter plate. The stock black plastic is cracked and broken. Can anyone point me to a thread showing removal of the old plastic and install of aluminum plate?

Again, it’s the 5 speed NA 98.

Thanks. Just what I needed. It would be nice to have that gasket/cushion underneath. I couldn’t find one to order. Maybe NLA?
