Has anyone ever explored the possibility of having the hood recess farther into the back of the car? If it could go down into the back of the car it would look much cleaner just like the later XKR. Fitting a flat hard cover would look much nicer. Can it be done given the back seats, braces and gas tank?

It's been done before. There's a thread which discusses it somewhere . It's apparently not easy.
