Default New member & new owner of a 1989 xjs 3.6 convertible

Hi im Vinny from south wales and ive had several jaguars years ago like xj6 / xj40 etc , I love classic cars and going around classic car shows . Ive had a few classics & have a couple at the moment that i attend shows with but ive always fancied another Jaguar so ive bought a 1989 xjs 3.6 convertible and to be very honest im also looking for a little info on them if anyone can help. Ive bought this 1989 jaguar xjs 3.6 full convertible and im wondering if anyone knows how rare they are or how many of them were done and how many are left. Ive only ever really seen convertibles in a v12 or ive seen 3.6 part convertibles like a targa top etc but never a 3.6 full convertible. So if anyone can share some info on this by anychance it would be great.

Welcome aboard.

Nice looking Conv.
We did not get the 3.6 down here in the XJ-S, and the ones that are here are private imports.

There will be lots of info on that spec car in the XJ-S section.

The way I see it, Vinny, you have two things going for you with this car:
1) it's a convertible and
2) it's RED! My second favorite color, right after Black.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Hi,
I m Olivier from Belgium and I just bought a xjs full convertible 3L6 2+2 1986, the same color like your's. Like you I try to find the produce and the history of that car. Your's have a litle part of red body. I think the firme Lynks manufactured some of 3.6 with this particularity, but it was for Us with LHD. My don't have this peace of body. For this time I don't have more information and I d like ti find.
