Hello, I was performing a coolant flush on a customer's 97 XK8, the coolant cap was removed before it was cool and coolant went everywhere, i cleaned it up topped it off, once i attempted to start it, i began experiencing misfire. I took the coils off, cleaned them off, dried out the spark plug holes, did a hard reset. Started the vehicle, idled very nice after a quick stall, i let it warm up, still idled nicely. As soon as i put it in gear fora test drive it started misfiring again and threw another code. I'm positive i got all the coolant away from the coils and plugs. Does anyone else have any suggestions before i replace the coil out of my pocket

Put the coil in a different cylinder and see if the fault follows

There was a change in the numbering of the cylinders of the Jaguar V8 at some point I don't know and you would need this to know which one is # 6 etc .

Outlaw said it is a '97, so it's the original numbering, 1-4 on the right.
Let it sit over night and started it up in the morning runs great, have it a bath and returned it to customer be careful getting that engine wet, 3 days in my bay for a coolant flush
