Default Drivers side airbag sensor mystery

So a few months back, while driving I reached forward to push the defrost vent down while driving and Aparently I screwed up the seat airbag sensor. I started getting the 2 2 code. It wasn't always on but after I got it back from the mechanics for fuel pump, it came on every time.
I just finished my rear seat delete project and I realized the sensor light isn't coming on Amy more. AT ALL!!
Could it be that since I had the seats powered all the way forward for two days while I built my rear stow area, it could have corrected the issue with the sensor? And if it did, would it show a code when inspected?

That is indeed one possible scenario. The culprit in these spurious airbag warnings is often the plastic electrical connectors underneath the seats. A common fix is to pull the connectors apart, spray them with electrical contact cleaner, allow them to dry, then reconnect them snugly. In most cases, that seems to solve the problem. In your case, you may have caused the connectors to rattle around and reestablish their electrical conduction by moving your seats back and forth. It would still be a good idea to use contact cleaner on them, especially if you've never done it before. You can purchase a spray can at any Radio Shack. It will probably last you for years....

Does this require removing the seat or is it accessible from underneath.

Some find it accessible. Some decide to remove the seat (four Torx bolts). You'll do a better job if you remove the seat, and that also gives you a chance to clean up years of accumulated grunge in the nooks and crannies....
