Front lower wishbone bushes
Can anyone clarify please? Jaguar have two part numbers and two prices for lets say the forward and rearward wishbone bushes on the front suspension, one is nearly twice the price of another.
Alternative suppliers (British spares) sell just one bush for both arms, other suppliers likewise. Who's right? Have the bushes been revised to just one design now? |

The OE bushes are different lengths. Here is the warning in JTIS:
Attachment 56047 There was an upgrade on the front lower bush fitted from VIN A28823 and the earlier pattern was discontinued. Attachment 56048 (click on the images to enlarge them) Graham |
That's great Graham, many thanks.

I have also seen this.
Jaguar Cars is aware that dealers have been using the rear wishbone bushing MNE 1360BB in place of MNE 1360AB in the Front Lower Wishbone on V8 XJ vehicles for some time. If, after inspection of the vehicle, it is determined that MNE 1360BB is already in place, replacement is not required. I installed the British Parts lower bushes 6 months ago, ok so far, however, do not buy their upper bushes, they are terrible and do not fit. The Rev Sam had problems fitting his Brit Parts lower bushes, mine were also tricky to fit but since they were the first ones I have ever done I have nothing to compare it to. |
