Any easy way to reconnect the wire harness to the module...three hours later still no joy

 

I'm not sure I understand your problem, but I think it's the locking mechanism. There is a black plastic rectangle directly above the socket about 3/4X1". Lift that and the connector will slide in, the push it down to lock.
