Default Jaguar XK8/XKR X100 Coupe Rear parcel shelf removal and retrim

Here's is a link to a short video how I removed the rear parcel shelf on my 1996 Jaguar XK8 coupe.
Hopefully help give a quick insight into the job for anyone wanting to do the job themselves.
Actually tried to recover it with new fabric too but that didn't go that well.
Looking for tips for recovering the parcel shelf if anyone has any ideas
Cheers.

I have previously removed head lining and support board from a Land rover Discovery ....sanded the backing board and painted with sand paint, This had a rough finish not suitable for a rear shelf ,When I did my rear shelf I could not get any material that was not creased..folded in the post so while I search I painted it with grey mat wall paint and you would not know.
If you got the proper foam backed material I dont see why you could not re cover it ....or use a flock spray.
