I have an exterior passenger side mirror that is getting loose. How do I tighten it...do I have to take the door panel off or is there an easier way?

Do you mean the whole mirror assembly?

If so, just pull the triangular shaped speaker grill straight out towards you. There is a T40 bolt behind it which holds on the mirror assembly.

On my car the mirror was loose, but that T-40 bolt was tight. I saw the washer under the bolt head was kind of bent / stretched concave, so I removed the bolt, and flipped the washer, then it tightened up nicely.

Thanks for the direction about removing the small speaker. The T bolt was loose. Easy fix.
