Mafs & k&n

I realize this has been talked about but I am going to install a K&N in my 2000XK8 and would like to know what the symptoms are if the MAFS gets dirty or oily. TNX

misfire codes, in my experience. Not that the K&N necessarily causes an oily MAFS, but a dirty or faulty MAFS will give you codes.
