Default Name This Tube! (please)

This plastic tube runs from beneath the throttle body to an attachment in the right inner fender. It's covered by a heat "cover."

I accidently broke a small part from the other end while reaching an a/c hose... and am wondering if I'll need a new one.

What the heck is it called? Any idea on a part number or a source (outside of a dealer?)

Thanks guys! You've helped solve several issues with my '01 XK8 and I really appreciate all the advice!

Looks like the vacuum tube that runs to the brake booster to me.

If you start the car, are the brakes "heavy" feeling?

When you say you broke the other end of it, do you mean where it connects to the intake elbow?

The doesn't seem to effect the brakes. I've driven the car and can't tell a difference.

This hose runs from under the throttle body to the right side of the engine bay where it connects to another tube then disappears behind the aluminum heat shield.

Any ideas?

THanks!!

Hi.

As mentioned, a vacuum pipe for the brake system, part number MJA5910CB, item 13 in diagram. As it have to do with the brakes it could be a safety item.
