periodic loss of electrical power
For no apparent reason when I turned the key to start the car I got nothing! No lights. Nothing. Thinking first about the battery I tested the battery (it was new). OK maybe the cables. I cleaned them. Got power back....yipee! Put car back in garage and thought no more about the issue until the next morning it happened again. Since the temperatures here in NJ was well in the 90's F I decided to wait until the next morning to investigate. The next morning I turned the key and everything was normal! I looked at the cables again and the high power protection module all connections looked as clean as they came from the factory. Does anyone have any thoughts? I am concerned about not knowing what is going on. I don't want to drive the car and get stuck somewhere?

And check the torque on the nuts that hold the leads on the HPPM.
I had a similar situation to yours and it turned out that they had loosened over the years. Absolutely spotless and looked brand new, but just not tight.
