Default Rear window control XK8 convertible

I've been going through the many posts that deal with window controls, but mine seem to behave just a bit differently. With the top up, the rear windows unexpectedly lower together with my main windows when lowering by door switch. I can only get them back up again, by putting the top down and back up again. With the top up and I 'tap' the convertible top down switch, just the rear windows lower, as is explained in some threads. However when I try to tap the convertible top up switch, the rear windows stay down. BTW windows work as expected when opening and closing the top
Anyone had a similar issue?
Cheers

Have you tried to push and hold the button (windows up position) with top up? Don't just tap. TM

Now I feel a bit foolish. I was (99.9%) sure I tried that and it didn't make a difference, but I tried it again just in case and yes, they go up. So it's just the unexpected lowering of the rears when i just want to operate the main windows, which, as long as that's the only thing, is something I can happily live with. Thanks!

No worries. I'm an Analog Man in a Digital World. (Joe Walsh, 2010) Every piece of equipment that I deal with at work or home operates differently and I'm sick of it. LOL :^)
It may have been some time before I figured how the buttons work myself. TM
