Default Recolor wipe new - amazing product

I had a discoloration and fading issue with the trunk of my 1999 XK8. Problem was manufacturers paint trunk lids and hoods at different locations than the body panels. In many cases the electrostatic process for these parts is not as efficient as the body painting which is carefully regulated. This is why you see many older cars with paint issues on the hoods and trunks.

I saw an ad on television about Rust-o-lium Recolor Wipe New for restoring the finish on metal finishes and decided to try this product along with their plastic refinisher for the cars interior.

This product is AMAZING. After applying the product to the trunk it looked incredible. All the discoloration was gone and the trunk looked like it had just come from the factory.

I recommend this product to anyone with discoloration issues.

I did a little research on this as I need a repaint, it is not recommended for use os clear coat. Sad but seems to work great on other applications. Let us know how it looks in a month.

David, that's good news. I'm always really skeptical about products on late night Infomercials. This was one I could'nt find any customer reviews on when I first saw it. I was scratching my head about Rust O Leum chosing to use late night commercials for their products. It looks like they licensed the use of their name to another company for use on this one.

I trust you, so this is valuable input. Please do keep us posted on how it lasts, sounds great so far.

John

Default Photo's of trunk lid

Hopefully I have done this right and 3 photos of the "after" results for the trunk lid are attached hereto.
The "before" trunk lid had a very large area of fading that was very noticeable and now these are completely gone and trunk looks new.
