The color match is great and the small bottled kit in the photo is only $25 on eBay. It is basically color matched acrylic paint. I can color match by eye, but what a pain. These guys nail it.

They supplied 2 small foam brushes, a disposable glove, paint, and instructions. I recommend using a natural bristle chip brush for faster application and the ability to stipple more easily.

Before and after shots are below. I've already been driving around and the paint seems to hold up OK. They recommend that you clean all the surfaces with isopropyl alcohol to remove oils. I recommend something nastier... acetone. Obviously, you don't want to get that stuff on meltable plastics, but using a folded paper towel does the trick. It removes ALL oils and tempers the old finish to more readily accept the paint for greater adhesion. In the steering wheel photos you can see that the acetone removed so much oil that the leather almost became white where it had been worn through the original finish.

On the steering wheel I had taped it off and used my index finger to paint the back side of the leather. It was much better than using a brush. I stippled the 'finger paint' anyway before it dried. Success!













I bought a new center console armrest cover on eBay the other day. It hasn't arrived yet, but I figured that I'd fix this one anyway.

The steering wheel photo below shows dirty wheel, followed by one cleaned with acetone, then repainted.







All-new seat leathers arrive next week for installation... WAHOO! Until then, this will have to do. I did no refinishing on the seats but the interior looks much better now.

The AZ climate is certainly tough on interiors. On the upside, I don't suppose you get many issues with body panel rust!

You might want to reconsider the color of the steering wheel though. It might be really a pain to keep clean in oatmeal. The original color was called 'Antelope', which is the color of the center panel.
