First, the defrost plenum on the driver side will rattle, I reach up and push or pull it a little, which ever makes it stop. Then the passenger side defrost will do it the next day, which I perform the same procedure and it stops. Then, the next day, my passenger airbag cover will begin to rattle, which, of course, I push on it until I find the rattling and it stops, then the next day the driver side plenum will rattle, then the next day, and the next day, so on and so on and so on....

I had a rattle in the left side defroster which I cured by stuffing a folded piece of brown felt between it and the windshield.

Hi.
Rattle from the defroster vents is fairly common. There is a thread in the sticky section how to glue them back in place. It's almost impossible with the windshield in place.
I took a piece of foam rubber tube approx. 2 cm (3/4 inch) in diameter and stuck it down in the gap between the windshield and the dash after pushing the vents in place. Almost invisible and no more rattle.
The tube is available in a building supply store. It is used for insulation purposes.

Yesterday, fed up with the rattling, I got off of my butt and went to Ace hardware and bought some bulb seal. It's a soft rubber seal that looks like a six when looking at it's profile. Bought 6 feet, went home, stuffed the "tail" of the profile into the gap and trimmed it to size. 5 minutes and no more Morse code being typed out from my vents....aaahhhhh, the beauty of silence.....
