Default Traction control won't stay disengaged

On my 02 xkr the traction control will not stay disengaged. The light illuminates and it is off, but very quickly turns itself back on and resumes interfering with my fun. Suggestions?

Try holding the button for 10 seconds, though I would say it sounds like a defective switch.

The switch 'feels' funky compared to others. I'll try the 10 second hold when I leave work here shortly.

Glad to hear it, I would now look around at replacing the switch, should be able to get one from a breakers yard.
