Default Upcoming tensioner job in Surrey, UK.

Hi all.
Lots of people here have done or have had done the tensionsioner's and chains. Don't suppose anyone who has done this themselves is near Sutton, Surrey, UK and fancies working with me doing the job? All the tea and cake ( :drinkers: ) you could ever want.

I'll rent the tools (unless someone is prepared to loan them to me for the cost of postage ) and will get the full tensioner kit + water pump + thermostat.
I have a driveway to do it on and a garage full of tools. I've been a DIY mechanic for years including a few cylinder head changes albeit some years ago.

In return, on successful completion of the job I'd be happy to help out someone else new to the XK

Cheers.
Paul.

I am in Kingston so not far from you. I don't have much free time between now and Christmas to be honest but I'd be very happy to pass on what I learnt from my recent tensioner job over a cuppa. It's actually pretty straightforward if you hire the tools and its a one man job apart from removing the bonnet and radiator.

The radiator needs to be removed only if you are doing the primary tensioners. Also, the bonnet/hood will stand straight up in the 'service position' and does not need to be removed.
