She was running great. I pulled into the garage and hit the valet button instead of the trunk release. That was corrected with your past posts. THANKS! Now it will not start. When I put the key in, the steering wheel drops as usual but the key will not turn--nothing--no dash lights or crank. Did I hit a main kill anti thief something?

Welcome to the forum JoAnn#1,

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to XK8/XKR forum and added vehicle details from your profile. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

When you get aminute, please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some info about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

Did you try to jiggle the steering wheel back and forth while you try to turn the key? I havent had it happen on my Jags, but I know some GM vehicles are pretty finicky when the steering wheel locks. Wiggling the steering wheel while turning the key will generally alleviate this, unless I am mis reading your post.

Unless you're saying the key turns but will not activate anything. If that's the case that is an entirely different issue.
