A local shop has an '01 (A22555) XKR with a very bad diff. There aren't any XKR/XK8 diffs around, so we are looking at a sedan diff.
Searching here I found from Bob Gauff:


The Sedan diff will need the Jurid flange removed, the pinion shaft round Jurid extension cut off and the U-Joint flange installed to be compatible with the propshaft.

I had to perform this modification to get the 3.2 Sedan diff to fit the XKR and swap over the QUAIF 'internals' to fit Marks car.

So it sounds like this is possible. Both sedan and XKR are 3.06 I believe, but the prop shaft coupling is different, I get that.
Bob, what does " the pinion shaft round Jurid extension cut off" mean? I understand swapping the Jurid for the round companion flange.
Also, is getting pinion preload correct going to be a problem? Do you mark the location of the nut before removal?
