was going through the configurator and noticed no more adjustable bolsters - the new seats don't look as bolstered as the old R seats to begin with

Those adjustable side bolsters come in real handy to clamp you in place.

the pictures on the configurator don't look as sculpted but will see what they are like in reality, they also now come with a cooling facility, so you can cool your nuts on a hot day

Looks like the cooling seats are only available with the Performance Seats -- by selecting Climate Pack 2. Only Climate Pack 1 comes up with the Sport Seats. This feature would have made the difference for me to upgrade to the Performance Seats. $3k for cooled nuts... well worth it!

ah yeah, standard on the SVR so not something i'd spend money on as an option!

Wow! The new R front bumper actually looks really good in this photo: https://www.netcarshow.com/jaguar/20...llpaper_0e.htm

Better than the current one in my opinion. Looks like Jaguar did a decent job afterall! Impressive.

Me thinks the styling is getting too busy. Too many lines. The simple elegance of the early design was superior in my opinion.

Agreed. If I had to replace my car, I'd likely get a used 2014/2015.

still keen on the headlights

happy to be the guinea pig, but need RHD spec. looking at parts diagram, the leveling module is separate and affixed to back of the headlight, so id assume the led headlights would need the new module as well

any genuine parts dealers on this forum?

If Jag come out with a 4cyl + diesel Ftypes then I think they will ultimately gain more sales. There will be a few that decide to buy other brands like Aston to gain more exclusivity on their purchase.

For someone spending $60k for a 340hp sports car, is anyone really going to opt for 90hp less just to save 3 or 4 thousand dollars. In the soccer-mom world maybe, but not with this car.

Probably they would just to get the look and the badge. Unfortunate, but this seems to be a trend these days. Personally, it would certainly make me think twice about purchasing a $300k SVR (in my country), if essentially the same car was available with a different powertrain for less than half the price. I can't help think what if Lambo brought out a 4cyl Huracan haha!

Also, if AMG can put out 380HP from their 4cyl I'd think Jag wouldnt be tooo far behind, in fact isnt there a 300HP version of the Ingenium engine? They may increase the V6 performance + price moving it more upmarket and slot a high performance 4cyl in, offering value & accessibility to drive sales improvement.

Default I'm confused..USA configurator?

As above, it is now March and I thought JLR was building 2018's now. Why haven't we seen a USA configurator for 2018?

That's usually the case when it comes to major refreshes.

I can't say I am a fan...although very subjective of course. I'll stick with my 16R for sure.
