Is there any way to make the speedo show the current speed in large on the middle of the display? It's hardly visible with sun in the bottom right corner on the convertible.

What's that big round thing on the left side of the instrument panel?

The analog gauge is much faster to comprehend than a digital display, anyway.

Hehe - Touché
It just seemed logical that it would be possible to place it in the middle between the two half circles. I've found it somewhat difficult to quickly view at a glance when at speed compared to other dashboards I've used. However my current speed is where your "Auto 0.0 mi" is located - How do you place it at the top?

I don't know if this might be a regional variation as you're not in the US. Check under the vehicle settings option and see if you have digital speedometer (or something like that) unchecked....I think the default in the US market is enabled which is how the speed ends up in the top as Unhingd posted.

I admit, I've got used to looking at it more than the analog one....for shame...

My steering wheel is in the way of the analog display so it is useless to me. A shame, because I prefer analog speed.

I never look at the analog dial - have to stare at it unless I want just a vague reading. Not much precision, so I find it easier to glance at the digital display.

Especially when passing an officer hiding by the side of the road...

Assuming your car is pre-2016.

The display was changed in 2016 to the circular theme with the speed displayed at the top (as in the picture). Prior to that it had vertical Temp and Fuel bars with the speed shown in the lower right corner. Unfortunately, it can't be moved.

Foosh, excellent tip, used it today where previously I would have been pushing / pulling the lever to get back to D, thank you

I think that "hold the right paddle for five seconds and it pops out of manual mode" has been around from the XF days...

"2001 Soace Odyssey" has been in the cabin since new. Unfortunately the car goes to sleep after 15 minutes and it obviously won't play movies while driving so it's just for short time amusement. A star-wars tie-fighter scene might be more appropriate to the car but it's easier to queue up the space scenes from 2001.
A friend got in when the 2001 space station docking scene was on (great music), "what are you watching?" She asked. I replied "important update coming in from JLR Headquarters."

I have permanently loaded a copy of Clarkson's Top Gear review onto a thumb drive, along with my music folders. It's come in handy more than once for show-and-tell. And, for anyone who knows Top Gear, the perfect clincher is when you tell them he bought a S 'vert for himself.

Crap - glad I found this thread again cause I didn't want to make this comment via a whole new thread.

THE PANIC ALERT on the fob. Damn!

Was doing a late exit and normally I do the whole garage door down, start, put in gear, put back in park routine but I decided since it was before 10pm screw it.

Reached in my pocket while heading to the garage hit unlock - oops the fob was upside down in my pocket - and honk honk honk!!!!

No biggee just press it again like any other fob. Nope. Unlock? Nope.

It makes you get inside the car and hit start. Whew! Luckily my old lady neighbors didn't come over with pitchforks since that was a very long 10-15 second experience. Won't happen again.

I've done this once or twice and it erases any cool or wow factor by its own factor of 10 to the 20th power. lol

Is there no way to turn it off?

*ALSO*.... on one of my keys, I lost the metal "jaguar" housing for the physical key. Any idea where to pick one up??

I believe I seen what you need on eBay (the source for all odds & ends).
Plan "B" would be to get a leather FOB cover while you're there.
