Hi Caddie, I guess I'm with you on this one my friend.

I too have more than a few forums I'm a member of and sometimes receive emails about this or that, although I haven't visited in a while.

For me, its not a particular hardship as I either read them or don't and then delete, end of story, but for some it seems like its an issue.

We're all made differently after all.
As for the emails from JF?

I would hazard a guess that at best it may be 2 or 3 in the year and at worst, perhaps 8

These are generally an update about the site, new vendors added offering nice discounts and or our famous FREE prize giveaways, so I myself, don't think its a big deal.

Those that do are obviously entitled to their opinion, hence why I have edited their accounts to reflect their wishes.

We nenver delete accounts per se, so its a matter of editing the fields so that they never receive and notification mails.

Hope that helps to clear that up for you.

Probably worth mentioning that anyone that wants to can turn off all the notifications themselves by going to their user control panel selecting "edit options" and checking the relevant boxes.

I have never really understood people who wish to be deleted?
I have been a member of many car forums over the years, sometimes because I've actually owned that particular marque of vehicle and sometimes purely for information.
But when I have sold said vehicle, or got the required information, I simply tick the "no notifications box", delete said forum from my favourites and walk!

All of the above are true, to be fair.

Not all are very experienced forum users and Idon't mind helping when required, if needs be.

Hi, I have the same problem as Roger did, I would like to change my email, but it's attached to another username which was banned when I stuffed up the registration process
Could someone please help?

Ideally I'd love to change my username back to 'grandell' too, which I believe is the locked username, but I'd be happy just to change my email over if that's not possible.

Thanks,

Have you been both grandell and grandell2 before registering again as grandell_nz?

I saw that yesterday.

You should probably PM JimC64 and he can sort out your multiple personalities.

Default Change nickname/username?

I just registered for this forum since my wife purchased an XF yesterday! However, I used her iPad which auto-corrected my chosen name into something strange (rhea dap). I would like to become "XF Hubby" - is that possible? I could see any method on Edit User options. Thank you - look forward to many chats among other cat lovers

Welcome to the forum & congrats on the new purchase.

An Admin will need to change your username (i can't change it for you), i'm sure he'll be along shortly.

In the meantime why not stop by our New Member Area and introduce yourself.

We do NOT delete accounts on the forum.

Your account has been edited to remove ALL PM's / eMails etc so you will receive no further communication from the forum.

Of course, you will never know unless you come back to view this thread!

As I have posted earlier in this thread, we do NOT delete accounts on the forum.

Your account will be amended to remove ALL PM's / eMails etc so you will receive no further communication from the forum once this process is completed. The account will automatically become 'Inactive' if you choose not to login again.

Default Please delete my profile/account

Admin, please fully delete my account. Do delete it vs "deactivating" it. Thanks, Mark
