From NYC originally, "Representing Putting Queens On the Map" but own a home in Long Island and spend most of my time these days in Rockville Maryland, where the "great paper earning chase commences weekly". Would gladly join the NY group as I'm there about every other weekend under normal circumstances. Won't be back till Father's day weekend though but let me know what's happening and I'll gladly come by to meet some additional enthusiasts.....

Hi Clamdigger - I have had my Jag for about 4 years now... I love the challenge in keeping her on the road - but I must say when all is good - the ride is awesome! I love driving her up the Saw Mill Parkway...

I actually replaced the JBL's with some infinities. I did that because the JBL's were round and didn't make that good a fit in the door compartment even with shapers around the speakers. Additionally, they seemed to be more mid bass heavy.
This would not normally have been too much of a challenge, but I'm using the original head unit and GPS that came with the vehicle because it's a nice one, but, it's got things crossed over by means of some capacitors.
The infinities deliver clearer sound throughout the spectrum so they are the better choice. I also disconnected the subs in the rear shelf and put a 10' bazooka tube in. That adds a level of definition to the system previously unachievable. It's not overly loud, but it's clean and smooth as silk. Even the local Jaguar dealership in Bethesda MD's technicians always ask me what I did to the system to get it to sound as it does.
All in all, the factory shipped speakers in the door, the alpines are not bad at all, the infinities just distribute the power a tad bit cleaner and with more definition. I'll be in NY again from the evening of the 3rd of July through the 17th. Would love to get a pack of Nice car wolves (hopefully Jags), and stroll a bee line down many boulevards, parking lots and streets as beloved Jag owners.

New 1972 XKE Owner from Southern NJ
First, there is wayyyyy too much spam and crap on this forum. It is a deterrent.
Beyond that, I'm looking to connect with other E-type owners who can guide me through projects, or want to meet and discuss the greatest Jag, and possibly sportscar, ever built.
Please reach out to me if you are an XKE owner and live near Philly or Southern NJ.
