Northeastern NJ here, Bergen County. ( near MetLife Stadium).
Have a 2003 S Type 3.0 , got it in July 2014 with 76,000 miles on it. (81,000 on it now , Dec '14)
Its a little rough around the edges, and its been through 2 accidents, and It started life as a lease vehicle, and now I'm the fourth owner, last was my father in law, now its my daily driver that takes on a 70 mile per day round trip commute.
It has the usual S Type issues that I am currently working on one by one, but all in all, its a good car, and I enjoy it!

From Boalsburg, PA 4 miles from Penn State.
Last month got a 2012 XJL Portfolio with 7300 miles--my first Jag.
So far have only driven it 300 miles but we have 4 other vehicles so it's not a daily driver.
It's Claret exterior w/ white seats and gray steering wheel and gray dash.
I really like it. A relative in NC at beginning of Nov. got a 2011 XJL with dark blue exterior and light colored seats.
We're becoming a Jaguar family.

Metropolis of Harleysville
Multiple Jag owner, glad to see the NE take off. Missed some Jersey shore events but will put them in the calendar for next year. Would love to see some events as any day to drive a Jaguar, is a good day.
The old ones when they start and run; the new ones that glide along smoothly. Got both and it's a joy.
Best to all!!!!

Central NJ here, I live in Hillsborough, just a few miles north of Princeton. I see one or two XK8 XKR's around our neighborhood. It's always nice to meet other Jag owners. I hope I meet some of you from this area soon. I'm the guy with the LEAPER# license plate . I invite you to ping me if I can ever help with recomendations/experiences.

Hello from the Jersey Shore (Toms River). Bought my Jag from West Chester Jaguar, had a great lunch in a W.Chester pub after picking up the Jag.
Put on your calendar now, I know it's months away but in September The Brits on the Beach car show in Ocean Grove, NJ. Ocean Grove is a beautiful old historic town just south of Asbury Park. Last year over 150 British cars including many Jaguars lined up on Main Street for a great day of car watching.
Oh don't forget to try the lobster salad sandwiches at the Sea Grass Restaurant. If the weather is nice like last year you can sit at a sidewalk table, have lunch but sill see the cars.

Thanks StypeRowner and yes she is an 07. I bought her back in 2010. I was looking for a X308 XJR when the dealer called and said I should check a trade they got in even though it was a X350 and not an R. She was originally sold by WC Jag, the owner traded it in on an X351. The car was showroom not even a scratch, 43k miles, sold as certified with 2.5 years left on the warranty and 0% interest from Jaguar Financial.
I think the X308 lines are the best of all XJ's. I test drove a few X308 R's and loved the power but they all seemed cramped in the interior, I am not a little guy and I could not find a clean one, all were rode hard and put away wet. After looking at the X350 at WC Jag I did some research on the car and in MHO is far superior technically then the X308.
The deal was a good one and I could not turn it down. So 4 years and 50k miles later I am in love with the car,an R would of been nice but I'm an old man.
Redjaguar100, when is the Big Ben Run?

Hi Clamdigger,
Ex-South Jerseyite transplanted to West Chester, PA. Great place to live with a ton of really good restaurants. I haven't used West Chester Jaguar for any work so far (have a very good indie in Malvern, PA), but I should probably go and check them out.
I wasn't able to attend the Brits on the Beach show last year, but will definitely make plans to attend this year. Also would like to hear about any local shows in the upcoming months.

Hey kids.
Jag owner in Eastern PA. Between Easton and Stroudsburg. Also spend a lot of time at my home in South Jersey.
Current owner of a beautiful mint condition 2001 Jaguar S Type 3.0 in the rare Roman Bronze color. Barely over 42k miles on it. Unfortunately it may not be in the garage much longer bc I have to make space for my new purchase- a 2010 XJ, but boy I'm going to be sad to see my S-Type go. I really did baby it.
On that note if anybody is in the market for the car I just described shoot me a PM..Second thought. I don't think I've been here long enough for PMs. Maybe just post here lol

New Connecticut Jaguar Family member here!
I picked up my Vapour Grey 2009 XJ8 on Saturday, just as the snow began to fall across the land. I have reason to believe that my car is probably the last-ever 2009 model year Jaguar in America to be offered with a Factory Select Certified Warranty, since her in-service date was in May of 2010 (less than 5 years ago), and she has under 50,000 miles on the clock. My warranty is good through April of 2016 or 100,000 miles...although I obviously will never be able to drive her over 50,000 miles in 14 months! The warranty was a big factor in my decision to purchase her.
Are there any good local Jaguar get-togethers in central Connecticut? I am anxious to meet my new family members! Thank you all.

Jerry,
Congrats on your new XJ. I too bought my XJ from a Jag dealer and got the Select Certified Warranty. While under warranty I had a coolant hose blow and of course the warranty does not cover rubber items. They did cover the tow, thermostat and housing and coolant, so they did pick up the bulk of the bill.
Just before the warranty ran out I took it back in for a problem with the drivers door lock and asked them to look the car over. They did over $4,000 in repairs and I think my bill was about $36.000. The serpentine belt was not covered, (rubber).
They had the car for a good two weeks but they gave me a new XF to drive the whole time they had my XJ. I am not knocking the XF but was real glad to get my XJ back.
My experience with the Jaguar Select Certified Warranty was a very good one. They did stand behind the car like it was new. Thank you Jaguar.
