Hey
I have a 2003 Jag S type and I live in Pittsburgh. love this website, everytime Jag needs to go to the shop, this is the first place I look to get more info.
Not too many problems on this one compared to my previous S type, I have just changed the ignition coils, radiator fan, thermostat and the plastic coolant reservoir chamber (mileage 106000); I've had it for a little over 2 years.
Love this car

Snowbird checking in from Old Orchard Beach, Maine - summer and Boynton Beach, Fl - winter. I have a 99 xk8 green w/ tan top which is currently garaged as I am still in Fl. Will be returning around 28 May and will need help finding a knowledgeable Jag tech to take care of several error codes that I didn't have time to take care of before coming down here. My primary concern is p-1396 code (VVT solenoid malfunction on b bank of cylinders. Quite a mouthful! I've d/l the jag tech bulletin for the diagnosis and repair of this problem. If anyone knows of a tech who could handle this, please drop me a line.

Re: Let's get the northeast started
Hi guys,
Returned to Maine in May all excited to get working on my99 jag xk8. Got all the necessary info based on the error codes that I received and guess what? It was not the vvt, it was fuel pump. $1500 later and my ride is driving like a champ. I have 3 weeks to go up North and I come up with the dreaded p 0121 code (failsafe mode and traction control) I'm told that is the throttle position sensor. I'll find out today what this involves. Especially, with my history of false codes. Hopefully, i'll be able to manage these next 20 days with only some minor repair required.

North Eastern Pa. Cat lovers
We are proud owners of 2 Jaguars. a 1996 Vanden Plas which was a replacement for the 96 Vanden that committed suicide this past summer. After viewing it on the lift during the state inspection we found it to be in too good of shape to let the winter salt eat at it's bones so we put it on classic status and tucked it away. The only mechanical thing that it needs is the drivers output shaft bearing replaced. A few cosmetic things and it's ready for show. The second Jaguar is a 1999 XK8 rag top,we picked up for a steal. Looking forward to meeting other cat lovers in the area.

Northeast corner of PA
Hi, my name is Steve and I just bought my first Jaguar. 1998 XK8 Coupe. It's a beautiful car with only 40k miles. I live in Lakeville, PA on Lake Wallenpaupack (about 30 miles east of Scranton) but am originally from Elmira, NY. I look forward to braving the winter of '15/16 with you brave north easterners.
G-d. ain't that beautiful
