ABS/DSC question (Bad ABS module) DSC fault
#21
Why not just replace that O2 sensor and see what you have? The code isn't going away and needs to be addressed. You probably have more than one issue and this is not necessarily related to your issue with teh ABS/no cruise available.
As for your ABS issue, could be a wheel speed sensor or broken reluctor ring as someone else mentioned. That would throw a code CXXXX. Could it just be that the code reader you, your mechanic and AutoZone used could not read a C code? That could be a real possibility.
Have you been able to determine yet how your mechanic determined you have a bad ABS module?

Alfa dude,
I will replace it. Seems like an OK job. May be able to complete it at home.
I believe I do have more than one issue.
No clue whether or not our code readers cannot read a C code.
All mechanic said was that ABS cannot communicate with his reader...sounds kind of questionable. But he does seem way more honest than ANY of the shops I have been too. Unfortunately all of their business models include up selling and bonuses for doing so. What a racket! Should be illegal to have this kind of business model.
